Items that ARE Approved for the Adolescent Unit
- Casual Clothing (no more than 1 small bag)
- Limited Makeup (original plastic bottles required)
- Limited Toiletries (no glass or mirrors)
- Disposable Toothbrush & Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Tampons & Pads
- Electric Razors
- Soap
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- List of frequently called numbers
- Comforter/Pillows
- School Books
- Teen Magazines (with no sexual content - nursing discretion)
- CD Player/Batteries
- 10 CDs (appropriate music)
- Playing Cards
- Books (nursing discretion)
- Games
- G/PG/PG-13 Movies
- Hard Candy, Gum (in original sealed package)
- $10 (Saturday pizza)
- Insurance Card

- Tank/Crop Tops, Halters
- Short Skirts/Shorts
- Transparent Clothing
- High-Heeled Shoes
- Revealing or Tight Clothing
- Clothing with Drug, Alcohol, Sexual Content/Pictures
- Perfume/Cologne
- Bandanas or Hats
- CDs (with parental advisory)
- Burned CDs
- R/NR Movies
- Irons
- Hangers (Hospital will provide)
- Cameras
- Cell Phones (bring list of frequently called numbers)
- Pagers, Palm Pilots, Computers, Televisions, Tape Recorders or iPods
- Large Stereo/Recorders
- Curling Irons
- Mouthwash or Breath Spray that contain alcohol
- Disposable Razors or Sharp Items (i.e. nail clippers, metal files, tweezers)
- Cigarettes or Lighters
- Ceramic Figurines

- Food/Caffeinated Beverages
- Drugs or Alcohol (this includes toiletries that contain alcohol)
- Mouthwash or Breath Spray with Alcohol
- Perfume/Cologne
- Razors or Sharp Items (i.e. nail clippers, metal files, tweezers)
- Irons
- Curling Irons
- Hair dryers (Not permitted on the Acute Care Unit)
- No Weapons of Any Kind (i.e. knives, mace, etc.)
- Hangers (Hospital will provide)
- Revealing Clothing (i.e. tank tops, tight clothing, short skirts/shorts, two piece swimsuits)
- Opened Packs of Cigarettes
- Videos, DVDs, CDs
- Cameras
- Cell Phones (bring list of frequently called numbers)
