Adolescent Inpatient
At Silver Hill Hospital, we are experts in treating adolescents. Our adolescent patients benefit from our high staff to patient ratio, our clinicians who are experts in the treatment of the 13–17 year old patient, and our specialized unit. Our board certified physicians have the expertise to diagnose and manage hard-to-treat disorders. Educational services are coordinated with the patient’s school. We recognize the importance of family in the treatment of psychiatric disorders and addiction, especially in an adolescent treatment program. Our experience provides us with a wide array of tools and methods for family involvement.

The adolescent treatment program at Silver Hill Hospital starts with an assessment of the patient by a team of specialists. This multi-disciplinary assessment is thorough and is conducted quickly so as to begin the treatment process as soon as possible. We are experienced with situations that require crisis intervention or involve a difficult-to-manage young person.
Based on their assessment, our professional staff develops a patient-specific, medically sound treatment plan. The treatment plan draws on Silver Hill Hospital’s wide range of experience with adolescents. Treatment is provided in our special, 10-bed Adolescent Treatment Unit.
Dual Disorders
Silver Hill Hospital’s experience with adolescent psychiatric illnesses and substance use disorders has shown that these serious conditions often exist together.
