Transitional Living Programs –
Substance Use Disorders
Following detoxification in the inpatient addiction treatment program, adult patients can often benefit from our Transitional Living Program substance use disorders track. The substance use disorders rehab program is a minimum 4-week residential treatment program that provides a highly structured, intensive program of education, behavioral skill development and increasing psychological awareness.
Patients may be admitted to the substance use disorders track from the community or other treatment facilities. In such circumstance a brief stay in an observation bed on an inpatient unit may be required prior to placement in a transitional residence.
Daily programs include various forms of group therapies, individual discussions, medication management, 12-Step groups and self-reflection exercises. Each week of this four week, abstinence-based program has a different theme, each theme highlighting a skill or frame of reference that is important in maintaining abstinence. The program is structured so that a patient can enter at any time and complete the entire treatment cycle by the end of the fourth week. A fifth week is also available in which a patient can leave during the day for work, school or other activities and return in the evening for the evening program. |
