Treatment Approach
What to expect from inpatient treatment

Many patients begin treatment in our inpatient level of care. Patients may be admitted for detoxification from alcohol, prescription medication or other substances. Simultaneous treatment of psychiatric symptoms is also provided for co-occurring psychiatric disorders as needed. The goals of this level of treatment are diagnostic assessment, safe detoxification, symptom reduction and stabilization.

What we treat

Addiction is a complex disease with both emotional and physical components. It is characterized by substance use that is compulsive or difficult to control despite negative or harmful consequences.

The types of addiction disorders we treat include the abuse of

Alcohol to control mood.
Opioids to elevate mood or relieve pain.
Marijuana to reduce anxiety.
Stimulants to elevate mood.
Sedatives or hypnotics to reduce anxiety.

We also treat co-occurring psychiatric disorders such as:

Anxiety disorders
The persistent, excessive and unrealistic worry about everyday things.
Bipolar disorder
A severe mental illness that causes changes in a person's mood, energy and ability to function.
Depression
Persistent feelings of pervasive sadness, hopelessness and helplessness that interfere with thinking and daily activities.
Types of treatment offered
Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation
Based on information gathered from the patient, their family and their community clinicians, we develop a preliminary diagnosis and treatment plan.
Medical Detoxification
Medically supervised treatment designed to safely eliminate intoxicating or addictive substances from the body.
Pharmacologic Therapies
The use of medications in the treatment of mental health disorders.
Individual and Group Counseling
Counseling provided one-to-one and in groups.
Structured Treatment Environment
Living in a supportive environment in which you can constructively apply the skills you are learning to achieve your treatment goals.
Aftercare Planning
The development of a safe, healthy and meaningful plan for life after discharge.
Our treatment team
