Inpatient Treatment

Treatment Approach
What to expect from inpatient treatment

Teens are often first admitted to our inpatient unit for crisis management and stabilization. Our staff of board-certified adolescent psychiatrists, social workers and nurses are here to help you and your family through this difficult time. In this safe, stable, nurturing environment you can be guided through a depressive or psychotic episode, prevented from harming yourself or begin dealing with an addiction. After an initial diagnostic assessment, a treatment plan will be created specifically for you.

Who we treat

We treat teens, ages 13 – 17, who may be struggling with one or more psychiatric disorders and/or an addiction. These include:

Depression
Persistent feelings of pervasive sadness, hopelessness and helplessness that interfere with thinking and daily activities.
Anxiety disorders

Self-harm
The intentional and repeated physical harm of oneself.
Eating disorders
A range of disorders characterized by abnormal or disturbed eating habits, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating.
Substance use disorders
