Will I have my own room?

K-House has both double and single rooms. Our admissions staff will help your family determine which is best for you.

Will I be allowed to do school work?

Yes. Time is set aside each day for school work under the guidance of a certified teacher.

What is a typical day?

8:00 – 8:30 am
8:30 – 9:00 am
9:30 – 11:30 am
12:00 – 12:30 pm
1:00 – 1:45 pm
2:00 – 2:45 pm
3:00 – 3:45 pm
4:00 – 4:45 pm
5:00 – 5:30 pm
5:45 – 6:30 pm

Can I have my phone or computer?

No phones or personal computers are permitted. There are computers in the houses available for use for school purposes only. Phones may be kept in the staff office to access contact information.

What can I bring with me?

What are the exercise options?

We have an onsite fitness center, a large gymnasium, and an indoor pool available to patients.

Can my dog visit?

No. Animals are not permitted on campus. However, trained volunteers and dogs from The Good Dog Foundation provide pet therapy visits.

What are the visiting hours?

Visitors are permitted during the following non-program hours:
Wednesday 7:15 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday OR Sunday 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Can people send things in a “care package”?

Yes. Please refer to the what to bring list to determine what is permitted in your program.

What happens when I leave?

We take discharge planning very seriously and our clinical staff will work with you and your family from day one to create a safe, healthy, and meaningful discharge plan. This may include further residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, or scheduled appointments with your physicians and therapists.
