The Eating Disorders Treatment Program

Regain Control by Letting Go of Control with Treatment for Eating Disorders

Treatment For Eating DisordersSilver Hill Hospital’s Eating Disorders Treatment Program is exceptional. This unique treatment of eating disorders offers the safety of a higher level of care with fluid and uninterrupted movement to a less restrictive and more advanced treatment for eating disorders. This distinct eating disorder program allows us to respond safely, flexibly, and effectively to the emotional needs of our patients.

Treatment for Eating Disorders

Our eating disorder treatment center treats people 17 years and older, male and female, who are struggling with these eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder), rumination disorder, body dysmorphia, orthoexia and post-bariatric surgery eating disorders. As a psychiatric hospital, we are especially able to treat patients who present with serious co-occurring psychiatric problems, such as mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders, along with the eating disorder symptoms. These co-occurring psychiatric disorders often drive and complicate eating disorder symptoms; treating these psychiatric disorders is essential for successful and lasting eating disorder recovery.

How do I know if this eating disorder program is right for me?

Do you struggle in your relationship with food and body image? Do you feel anxious, guilty, or ashamed when you eat?  Worry about weight or carry feelings of shame about your body—feel “uncomfortable in your own skin?” Do you use food and body image to manage unpleasant emotions, improve self-esteem, or cope with stress? Do you feel depressed or anxious, struggle with shyness or social anxiety, criticize yourself and demand perfection, or suffer from other emotional or behavioral problems? Are food and body image your answer to these problems? Do you alternate between extreme control over food, and then feel out-of control with food?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, this eating disorder treatment program is for you!

If this description fits you, our eating disorder treatment program aims to help you:
